Marshmallow Squares

This recipe is one that my mother always used to make when I was a kid. She still makes them today. It is a pretty simple recipe and one the most little kids would like. I just made it yesterday, and my kids loved it. I made it before the kids went down for a nap and it was ready for them when they got up. I don't know if you can substitute butter for the margarine or chocolate chips for the butterscotch chips, but if you do, let me know how it turns out. I would also suggest using chunky peanut butter. In my opinion it tastes better with it. Enjoy!!

Marshmallow Squares
1 bag (equal to 2 cups) of butterscotch chips
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
1 cup peanut butter
3 cups miniature marshmallows

Melt the butterscotch chips, margarine, and peanut butter using a double boiler until mixture is smooth. Remove the pan from the stove and fold in the marshmallows. Mix them together until the marshmallows seem to be coated. Put marshmallow mixture into a greased pan (9x9 is what I use) and put the pan in the fridge until cooled and firm.
