She still makes them today. It is a pretty simple recipe and one the most little kids would like. I just made it yesterday, and my kids loved it. I made it before the kids went down for a nap and it was ready for them when they got up. I don't know if you can substitute butter for the margarine or chocolate chips for the butterscotch chips, but if you do, let me know how it turns out. I would also suggest using chunky peanut butter. In my opinion it tastes better with it. Enjoy!!<br /><br /><u><strong>Marshmallow Squares</strong></u><br />1 bag (equal to 2 cups) of butterscotch chips<br />1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)<br />1 cup peanut butter<br />3 cups miniature marshmallows<br /><br />Melt the butterscotch chips, margarine, and peanut butter using a double boiler until mixture is smooth. Remove the pan from the stove and fold in the marshmallows. Mix them together until the marshmallows seem to be coated.
